The blade is made of CPM S30V steel, a type of steel with excellent durability and a long sharpness retention. The edge is razor sharp, making this knife ideal for all your daily cutting tasks. The Ceracoat coating not only gives the blade a unique look, but also excellent reflection reduction. The Bugout has an AXIS® lock, this manual sliding mechanism locks the blade with the reliability you have come to expect from Benchmade. The handle is made of Grivory, a durable synthetic polymer. This handle not only makes the knife surprisingly light, but the molded pronounced pattern gives the Bugout a fantastic grip in all weather conditions. The knife is equipped with a reversible carrying clip, thumb studs and a lanyard eye. With the Bugout, Benchmade shows that you do not have to compromise on functionality with a lightweight knife.
