In the world of knives, tradition and modern style do not have to be mutually exclusive. On the contrary, there is a palpable trend in the knife industry to take timeless classics and give them a purposeful redesign, updating them with a modern, contemporary look. At the same time, the basic concept of the knife must be respected. The idea of the so-called Modern Traditional is the basis of the Böker Uno knife series.
The Trapper and Delicate styles have been classics for more than a century and can be found in the product lines of renowned international makers of classic pocket knives. In their traditional form, both styles have tops and supports. With the Uno series, the bolsters on the butt of the handle are omitted, an adjustment to which the series owes its name. The two styles are no longer seen as mere utility knives on the farm or on the construction site, but also hold their own as high-end EDC knives in barber shops or at a picnic. We have selected exclusive matching handle scales, made from certified imported desert ironwood, which are riveted to the copper liners. The blades are made of 440C and do not lock. The completely handmade slipjoint knife from Böker Manufactory Solingen comes with the new version of the historic Böker tree symbol.
