The Ritsu is a relatively new model from Rockstead, since it has only been produced since 2019. It is a full tang fixed blade knife. The handle is made from an incredibly light wood micarta. Due to this, the weight is very low, despite it being a full-size knife.

This blade features a Honzukuri style blade. Taking inspiration from the Japanese sword, this knife is ground full convex, without the use of a microbevel. This, in combination with the ultra-smooth mirror finish of the blade and their ZDP189 steel and you get unbelievable edge retention. Rockstead gets their ZDP189 steel to Rockwell hardnesses of up to 67HRc. The hardness of the knife may vary, but the exact hardness is visible on the certificate accompanying the knife (Rockstead tests them individually).

The Ritsu has a blue titanium guard and comes with a gorgeous leather sheath, which features a kydex liner.

The total length of the Ritsu is 213mm. The blade is 95mm, with a thickness of 3.7mm. Due to the lightweight handle, it only weighs 123 grams. The sheath weighs 66 grams.
